With the Sportster, the concept of 'ease of build' was brought to the forefront, all Marlin components are lazer cut, pre-drilled, jig-built and mated to standard production parts, thus eliminating alignment problems often encountered with many other kits.

Initial purchase is far less expensive - and costs are conveniently spread over the period of the build. Plus it's so easy to personalise your vehicle at each and every stage.

No Building Worries - as Help is at Hand

Marlin's 'Network-M' system, puts you in touch with an owner in your area, who - should you decide to buy a kit, - will then become your mentor, offering advice and when possible assistance.

Via our five day building hotline, the Marlin factory is always on hand to offer you free building advice, as is the wonderfully active forums and builders websites - many of which can be accessed direct via the 'links' section for each of our models.

You can also contact the 'Marlin Sportscar Club' - which was created in conjunction with the factory for those inspired by trackdays and racing - whose members have a wealth of knowledge - and the 'Marlin Owners Club', which is one of the most active and successful clubs in the country.

Sportster - a Single Donor Build

The Sportster is a one donor build, using the superb BMW 3-series as a basis. This includes the engine, gearbox, axles, steering, brakes, etc.

Its chassis/body system - frequently quoted in the press as being 'the best in the business' - has been gradually and subtly refined over a period of 10 years, for even greater performance and even easier assembly.

Should you want to fit other engines, we also provide installation kits for all the most popular engine choices, whether - V8, V6, Straight-6 or Four.

SVA and Other Services

If during building, you should decide an experienced helping hand to complete certain areas would be appropriate, you may be pleased to learn we do offer a variety of 'finishing' services to cover various situations:

For instance we offer a comprehensive SVA’ing service which involves an initial pre-SVA check, then we can take the car to gain Single Vehicle Approval by the Vehicle Inspectorate Executive Agency - and if desired this process can be completed with registration and tax.
