If there's something classical about the Sportster's looks, don't expect anything old-world when it comes to the way this car handles. The suspension has been specially tailored for the task in hand. And that means a ride quality that will surprise you with its sophistication and comfort, allied to cornering ability and control that will amaze you. The Marlin/BMW suspension components are designed with full adjustability.
   
REAL SPORTS CAR PERFORMANCE
The cavernous engine bay means power options are almost endless, while the car's light weight will ensure that even mundane engines perform well. BMW's extensive range of straight six engines will take some beating. The 3.2-litre M3 EVO unit produces 321bhp which, in the 800kg Sportster, results in a supercar-slaying 400bhp/tonne. It's a revelation.
   

REAL SPORTS CAR SUSPENSION
The design of the Sportster chassis and suspension has its eye firmly on the sports car enthusiast. The semi-monocoque chassis forms the perfect foundation on which the double wishbone front suspension and BMW (or Ford-based) rear suspension are located. Backed up with all-round disc brakes, it's a chassis package more than capable of delivering a top end driving experience.
